Graphics
GTA 5 on PC has new custom graphics to make the game more fascinating than the previous versions. The most outstanding graphics include shadows cast by vehicles, props, NPCs and fixed land features such as hills and building.
GTA 5 on PC also supports 4K resolution displays. This tells you that the resolution could very well be better than that of Xbox One and PS4. The game also supports panoramic triple monitor setups which come when in handy when in multi-player mode.
The Framerate on this game increases to 60FPS. Even though you can play the game at lower FPS, the texture quality improves as you scale through the FPS levels. In fact, the biggest dips occur at lower FPS more so if a player is taking part in activities such as a heavy shootout. In other words, the performance nosedives at lower FPS which makes the capping of framerate on PS4 and Xbox One sensible.
Unlike in previous versions, GTA 5 doesn’t have a countdown glitch in Bearing the Truth. There’s also a custom radio station that’s not available on the console versions.
Controls
Just as you’d expect, you’ll control the game using the Keyboard and the Mouse. The most important thing here is to know which key does what and when to use the mouse. For example, Caps Lock gives a player special abilities while the F key enables a player to enter or exit the vehicle. When you hold the left mouse, you’ll offset a target and so on.
Verdict
Rockstar has optimized GTA 5 on PC. It is feature-rich and impressive on its own terms. In comparison to console versions, it has way better draw distances, improved grass, shadows and tessellation quality. The texture filter is also on another level.
