Liberty City Comes to GTA 5

The year is starting with a bang for video game lovers! Already, some creators of Grand Theft Auto mods have announced their intention to bring Liberty City to GTA 5. The announcement blog read: “Today, we are proud to announce the project we worked on since initial GTA V release. Liberty City is finally coming to GTA V in all its glory.”

Liberty City is a real neighborhood, found in Miami, Florida. In GTA, it is an area with a high crime rate, unruly citizens, dishonest officials, and extreme poverty. Generally speaking, it is a terrible place to reside. However, despite these conditions, it is densely populated and possibly the most famous city in GTA’s history.

Liberty City will exist alongside Blaine County and Los Santos the other two sprawling metropolises in GTA 5. It will appear across the sea according to the statement.

How Do You Access Liberty City in GTA 5?

To ensure that there are no legal issues, the mod will not serve as a replacement of Liberty City in GTA5. Instead, you will have to own GTA 4 and 5 on your computer. You will then use a downloadable converter tool to extract Liberty City from GTA 4. The tool will create a custom single player DLC pack which you can patch into GTA 5.

Even though the mod is designed to work with episodes from Liberty City, you cannot drive on the streets in a multiplayer setting. Rockstar, the maker of GTA, doesn’t allow permit mods in GTA Online. In fact, there’s every probability that you might get a ban if you try hitting the streets in multiplayer.

Judging by the sheer size of Liberty City, ensure that your PC’s hard drive has enough space for the converter tool to do its work.

Release Date for GTA 5 Liberty City Mod

At the moment, there is no official date as to when Liberty City will be released. However, the FAQ section on the developer’s official website states that Liberty City will be out as soon as possible.
